Foundations in Faith welcomed Janie Nneji to its Board of Trustees in its annual meeting on June 21 for a term of three years. Janie is a highly intuitive leader and program manager with more than 20 years’ experience in business, developing operational strategies and employee experiences. She has an engineering degree from Northwestern University, an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Janie is a convert to Roman Catholicism. She is the wife of Dr. Bernard Nneji and the mother of four adult children. The Nnejis are members of St. Mary Parish in Ridgefield where Janie has led the Parish Council Faith Formation team, is a Scripture Study facilitator, and a coordinator for the Women’s Day of Recollection events, the Greeter Ministry, and the After Mass Hospitality Ministry. In addition, Janie is also a member of the Diocese’s Pastoral Council and the Black Catholic Apostolate, and she has been a prolific member of the Foundation’s volunteer grant review team.
Currently, she’s the Operations Manager at NAMEPA/Morgan Marketing Communications in Weston. And in the past, Janie’s served as the administrative and project assistant at Southport Engineering Associates in Ridgefield and COO and Editorial Manager & Publisher of Intro America, Inc., a New York City-based bilingual media, marketing, and information website start-up introducing and connecting U.S. colleges with international students from China.
On a personal note, Janie says she loves to pray in her kitchen and that “Be Bold, Be Catholic” is among her favorite life mottos. The members of the Board and staff look forward to her contributions as she joins the leadership of Foundations in Faith–Welcome, Janie!
