A New Year Brings a Newly Revised Mission Statement - Foundations in Faith

At the recent January meeting, the Foundations in Faith Board unanimously approved a revised Mission Statement. As Kelly Weldon, Director, shared, “It was time to broaden the scope of our Mission Statement to better reflect our expanding reach. It is also crucial to emphasize that everything we do aligns with and supports Bishop Caggiano’s vision for The One.”

In 2022, the success of the We Stand with Christ Campaign allowed for the funding of four new pastoral ministries, effectively doubling our footprint. Then, in 2024, Foundations in Charity merged with Foundations in Faith. This merger strengthens our ability to teach Catholic values beyond the walls of parishes, extending our impact into the community. Charity is a form of discipleship, and now endowed – designated funding is dedicated to supporting the greater community—truly a beautiful expression of evangelization.

Mission Statement: Foundations in Faith is dedicated to empowering and transforming pastoral ministries in the Diocese of Bridgeport by inspiring discipleship and providing essential funding, guidance, and resources, all in service of The One*.

Then, as missionary disciples in the world, we can accompany others who want to join in the journey, calling each of our brothers and sisters to their own encounter.
